Join us on September 8, 8:30 - 9:30 AM at Our Community Place to kick-off the 2010 campaign. At the event we will unveil our new Corporate Volunteer Council. Register your attendance by calling 540.434.6639 ext. 302.
Our Community Place is located at 17 East Johnson Street, Harrisonburg. Parking for the event will be in the Roses parking lot.
Attendees are invited to bring donations of bath towels, wash cloths and laudry detergent for OCP's new shower and laundry room.
United Way of Harrisonburg & Rockingham County is recruiting volunteers for Stuff the Bus.
The school supply collections will be held Aug. 6-8, 2010.
Come out for a night of fun with the Harrisonburg Turks and United Way! On Saturday, June 19 the Turks will be playing the Staunton Braves at Veteran's Memorial Park, and the game will be a special recognition night for United Way. Special thanks to the Turks for hosting United Way!

Please join workplace campaign teams, Day of Caring teams, business and community leaders on May 26, 8 AM at Friendship Industries (801 Friendship Drive) for our annual Appreciation Breakfast and Day of Caring.
Enjoy breakfast, hear the 2009 Community Impact Campaign results, meet the 2009 Campaign Award winners, learn the 2010 Community Impact Grant recipients and get inspired by listening to Diane's story. At 9 AM, the Day of Caring volunteer teams will be cheered on as they depart for their day of community service.
This year 300 volunteers representing 20 local businesses are reaching out a hand, lending their muscle and giving a day to United Way partner agencies! Contact the United Way office at 540-434-6639 ext. 302 to register or for more information.

RR Donnelley employees have pulled together their favorite recipes and bound them together in the A World of Difference: Sharing the Tastes of RR Donnelley cookbook. This wonderful cookbook has over 300 recipes!
Cookbooks are available at the United Way office for a minumum donation of $10. Pick up a copy for yourself, family members and friends. All proceeds benefit United Way of Harrisonburg & Rockingham County.

Cold winter weather brought hot chili to Dynamic Aviation in Bridgewater, VA. The workplace campaign team raised $1,012 for United Way recently in a chili cook-off held by the employees. Congratulations to 1st Place Winner, Derek Sauder!
