United Way of Harrisonburg Rockingham County involves over 200 community volunteers each year to fulfill our mission. Here are a few ways you can become invloved.

Community Investment Team

Interested in assisting with the allocation of funds raised by the Impact Campaign? Community Investment Teams are comprised of human service directors and community volunteers who help to allocate funds to the programs in each of the four impact areas.

Community Impact Campaign Volunteer

Help the United Way raise funds during our Community Investment Campaign. There are many ways to help from special event volunteer to becoming an Account Manager.

Campaign Account Manager

Each year local successful employees from United Way community business partners volunteer to help staff with the annual United Way campaign. As a campaign team account manager you will have 8-10 business accounts that you will handle. Commitment of service runs from July-December.

Employee Campaign Coordinator

Employee Campaign Coordinators play a key role every year in the United Ways Impact Campaign.  Employee Campaign Coordinators are responsible for running successful and enjoyable workplace campaigns.  Workplace campaigns are a major part of the United Way Campaign and over half of Community Impact Revenues are raised in workplace campaigns.

Special Events Volunteer

Throughout the year United Way hosts and participates in a variety of special events, including the Campaign Kick Off, local fairs and tournaments as well as  many small fundraisers. Extra staffing at these events is welcome and needed.

Office Volunteer

This is a great way to begin your involvement with United Way. There are plenty of opportunities to lend a helping hand in the United Way office. Preparing campaign materials for local business, putting together Success By 6 summit packets, and assisting with mass mailing are only a few of the ways you can help.
