2008 Days of Caring
United Way aspires to be the ideal partner for people who want to make a real difference in the community. United Way Days of Caring is one way this goal is accomplished. Volunteers are matched with Community Partners to complete projects throughout the year. This year's Days of Caring Began May 21, 2008.
Sandal House
Wal-Mart Distribution employees volunteered to participate in our annual Day of Caring. They requested a special project that would last more than one day because they wanted all shifts to have the opportunity to participate. After contacting our partner agencies, Sandal House, Mery House's new teen mother home, became the perfect fit.
