One of the best ways to get to know a community is to take a tour!
Take a Walk with Alice
On Wednesday, September 29, United Way hosted area business and community leaders to see first-hand how we collaborate with our partners and postiviely impact so many in our community.
The theme for this years Community Tours was "Take a Walk With Alice." Those on the tour learned more about those living below the ALICE threshold and how our community works to support
individuals and families. ALICE stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed and includes many of our neighbors who are working hard but still struggle to afford basic needs like
food, housing, health care, child care and transportation.
The walking tour visited a number of nonprofits that we are proud to call our partners. Each nonprofit agency shared more about their organization and how you can get involved.
Your gift keeps individuals and families living below the ALICE threshold from slipping into poverty. By giving through United Way, you are helping us stay #UnitedForALICE by funding programs that keep
ALICE individuals and families on their feet by helping us identify long-term solutions to their greatest needs
