Harrisonburg-Rockingham Food Coalition

The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Food Coalition is a gathering of organizations collecting, growing, sharing, storing, delivering, and distributing food to Harrisonburg City and Rockingham County residents!

Established in 2022, the Food Coalition formed to improve communication and collaboration between the various different organizations working around food collection and distribution efforts in our local area.

The Food Coalition meets monthly to connect, learn about each other's work and strategize around how to remove barriers to improving access to sources of healthy, nutritious food.

Membership in the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Food Coalition is open to any individual or organization in the local area. The Food Coalition is made up of  nonprofit, faith-based and community organizations as well as businesses working towards addressing food insecurity for residents of Harrisonburg City and Rockingham County, Virginia.

Members of the Food Coalition stay connected between meetings using a listserv.
