When you dial 2-1-1, a trained professional listens to your situation and suggests sources of help using one of the largest databases of health and human services in Virgibia. All referrals are confidential and you can search for these same services on the Virginia 2-1-1 website.


Community Resource Guide

The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Community Resource Guide was created by the Harrisonburg Rockingham Social Services District. It lists local social service resources by service category with phone numbers and addresses.

The Harrisonburg-Rockingham CSA Community Resource Handbook was developed to increase accessibility of low-cost community resources to low income families and to agencies who provide them services. It lists the resources by service categories with addresses and phone numbers.


Centralized Housing Intake

Centralized Housing Intake (CHI) for the City of Harrisonburg, City of Winchester, and the counties of Rockingham, Clarke, Frederick, Shenandoah, Warren, and Page offers a central point of entry for households experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless.
